Reproductive Psych, ARNP

Candace Mabbitt (she/her)

I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a decade of midwifery experience. I integrate a midwifery philosophy into my psychiatric practice and approach clients with compassionate curiosity; striving to understand each individual’s unique life circumstances and personal aspirations. My practice is grounded in trauma-informed, evidence-based care, viewed through a reproductive justice lens.

I offer reproductive psychiatry services to individuals 14- 60 yo. My clinical interests focus on hormonal transitions throughout the lifespan and their impact on mental health, addressing cyclical changes such as premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), perinatal and postpartum shifts, as well as adjustments related to peri- and post-menopause. Additionally, I have experience working with individuals suffering from autoimmune conditions and chronic pain, understanding their implications for daily life and mental health.

In addition to my clinical work, I also serve as an educator, preceptor, and mentor for nursing and midwifery students, as well as family practice residents. I hold an adjunct faculty position at both Georgetown University and Bellevue College.
