Mental health treatment requires investing both your time and money. We believe in balancing the accessibility of care with creating a sustainable business. Reproductive Resilience is considered an in-network provider with Premera, Regence, First Choice/Kaiser PPO, and Aetna plans within Washington state; we are out of network with all other insurance plans. At this time, we do not provide courtesy billing and you are responsible for the full fee at the time of session if you are interested in using your out of network benefits (superbills are provided monthly if you decide to pursue reimbursement).

While insurance can help defer the cost of the mental health services, many people choose not to use their insurance for a variety of reasons. There are many pros and cons to using your insurance for mental health treatment versus paying out of pocket. For example:

  • Using your insurance benefits (in or out of network) requires you be diagnosed with specific condition that qualifies for treatment according to insurance policies
  • Paying for sessions up front and independently managing submitting superbills to insurance for partial or full reimbursement is time consuming and the cost of treatment can add up.

Using insurance benefits is an individual decision that varies widely. You can contact your insurance directly and confirm our practice or your provider through our Tax ID (93-3427573). While cumbersome, most insurance carriers will provide clients with better benefit details than if a provider or administrator calls on your behalf. An additional questionnaire to aid in calling your insurance provider can be provided upon request to assist in gathering complete and accurate information. Please make sure you are checking our group practice Tax ID when verifying coverage, as some of our clinicians are credentialed under other contracts with other organizations; the Tax ID and our physical location (6553 California Ave Suite B, Seattle WA 98136) is the best way to verify you are getting accurate information. As of Spring 2024:

Therapy Billing:

All therapy sessions are 53-60 minutes unless otherwise arranged. This arrangement must be mutually confirmed prior to the first session(s). You are responsible for the session fee at the time of service.

Fees for psychotherapy are as follows:

  • Individual Therapy Session, (53-60 minutes) : $170 per session
  • Couples Counseling Session (53-60 minutes) * : $190 per session

Couples Counseling: *Very rarely, insurance carriers cover couples counseling and treating the two individuals as a unit. The way to clarify this with your insurance is to ask if your plan reimburses/covers diagnosis “Z Codes”, specifically the code Z63.0.  All insurance billing must include a diagnosis, and for individuals these codes typically start with “F” (F codes include diagnoses like major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, etc.).  However, there are a group of relationship related codes that start with Z (such as the example above, which is for “Relationship Distress with Spouse or Intimate Partner”), that most insurance plans exclude.  It is unlikely that your insurance will cover these Z codes, but may be worth checking with your specific plan.

    Medication Management Billing:

All sessions scheduled in advance. You are responsible for the session fee at the time of service.

Fees for prescriber appointments are as follows:

    • Initial Psychiatric Intake with Prescriber (90-180 minutes): Range from $350-$650, depending on the length and complexity
    • Extended Psychiatric Follow Up (40-54 minutes): Typically billed at $250; includes a review of medications, mood symptoms, possible medication side effects, your physical systems, medication adjustments, referrals, refills, or new medications and often therapeutic support.
    • Routine Psychiatric Follow Up (26-39 minutes): Typically billed at $175; intended for medically and psychiatrically stable clients; these appointments include a brief check in, minor medication adjustments and refills
