Reproductive Psychotherapist, Associate
Emily Schneider (she/her):
I became interested in the field of perinatal mental health after experiencing my own postpartum struggles, giving birth to a very premature baby in the fall of 2022 and dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, a long NICU stay, and breastfeeding difficulties. I found a lot of relief through my own recovery, and now I work to provide that same support and therapy to others. My style of interacting with clients involves humor, warmth, empathy, and developing a strong relationship.
Originally from Alaska, I now call Everett home. In my free time, I love having playdates with other mom friends and our kids, going on walks with my family, reading, and attending to my extensive houseplant collection.
Credentials:
I am licensed to provide therapy and counseling in Washington state as a Licensed Social Worker Associate Independent Clinical, and I receive ongoing supervision from a credentialed and approved supervisor, Lesli Desai, LICSW, PMH-C. I received my BA in Psychology from the University of Hawaii at Hilo, and my Masters in Social Work from Portland State University.
